Helical pinion gear for rack and pinion gear. This gear has a ratio of 5:1 and has no backlash. The beveled teeth on the pinion allow for fast movement and quiet, long-term operation without vibration.
The reduction ratio of the gear is 5:1 (HTD 5M large pulley 90 teeth, HTD 5M small pulley 18 teeth – 90/18=5)
The rack pitch according to the standard for a module of 1.5 m is 5.015 mm, to calculate the distance for 360 rotations of the gear, multiply the pitch by the number of teeth. For example, 23-tooth gear: 23*5.015=115.345 mm, the distance for one revolution of 23-tooth gear is 115.345 mm
The above calculation is for a 23-tooth helical gear for a full 360-degree rotation distance = 115.345 mm
The CALCULATION is simple:
(Stepper motor steps * reduction ratio) / Helical gear 360 degree distance = Steps per mm
(200 * 5) / 115.345 = 8.669 - example for 200 steps (full step)
(400 * 5) / 115.345 = 17.339 - example for 400 steps (half steps)
(800 * 5) / 115.345 = 34.678 – example for 800 steps (microstepping)
